IMAC SpA-History
IMAC was founded in 1975 by brothers David and Renato Mazzocconi. It was originally a studio specialized in sewing shoe uppers on behalf of third parties. .
Since the early 1980s, IMAC has adopted innovative technologies, such as injecting polyurethane directly into shoe soles, transforming it from a shoe upper sewing workshop into a shoe factory.
In 1997, the company's outsourcing process began. Today, TUNIMA Sarl, MAEMA Sarl in Tunisia and BULIMA Srlu in Bulgaria are three important industrial bases with more than 850 employees.
In 2001, it was acquired by IGI Calzature e Tecnologie, allowing the well-known children's shoe brand PRIMIGI to return to its former glory. In 2002, I MAC launched IGI&CO
The brand aims to meet the demand for high-quality styles in specific men's and women's footwear market segments through fashion research and technologically advanced details.
In 2004, in cooperation with WLGORE, the well-known American GORE-TEX trademark owner, it also began to produce waterproof and breathable shoes.
In 2007, IMAC Group expanded its business. Following the opening of the PRIMIGI STORE single-brand chain store, it sold children's shoes, clothing and accessories from 0 to 14 years old in a new format, allowing children to wear the same clothes in the shop from head to toe.
At 5 AM on April 2, 2012, Mr. David Mazzocconi passed away on the way to our Tunisian factory at the age of 74
In 2012, IMAC launched the IGI & CO STORE project, a men's and women's footwear and apparel brand specialty store.
In 2012, the ENVAL SOFT brand was also born, providing shoes for customers who pursue foot comfort and comfort.
Since 2014, IMAC is the first shoe company in the Marche region to obtain the official status of "Authorized Export Operator", "Customs Legal Residence" and authorized bonded warehouse, and thus obtained the AEO certificate (Authorized Economic Operator)).
The company currently operates six self-owned industrial plants (with a total area of 53,000 square meters).
