etnies is a shoes manufacturer brand headquartered in Lake Forest, California, USA, owned by Sole Technology, Inc. The company sponsors professional skateboarders and releases signature shoes.

The company was founded in 1986. After his professional skateboarding career ended, the current owner Pierre André Sénizergues began designing at etnies shortly after the company was founded. Etnies was an emerging European brand when Sénizergues joined the company. He was responsible for designing "Senix", "Lo-Cut", "Low-Top Rap", "Intercity" and "Scam" shoes. Sénizergues then introduced the brand to the United States and set out to build Sole Technology, while adding Emerica, éS (production was discontinued from 2012 to 2014, but production resumed) and ThirtyTwo (a ski brand created in 1995).
